baker boulevard
tukwila, wa
A very dated concrete building with exposed aggregate walls once stood in place of the Baker Boulevard Retail Center. An example of adaptive reuse, the existing book bindery was renovated and altered to create a 11,500 sf retail center containing six tenant spaces. The addition of three clerestory structures cladded with a wood/resin composite and the use of other engaging materials such as ceramic tiled walls joining with metal siding brings life to the old manufacturing facility.
